About this write-up
This case study describes the engagement as recorded. The client is not named; figures and outcomes are as reported by the client and have not been independently audited.

The challenge
Site teams sometimes built from outdated paper drawings, leading to costly rework. Revisions arrived over WhatsApp and email, consultants took days to answer site questions, and preparing as-built records for RERA took weeks.
Objectives
- Drawings sorted automatically
- QR code on every sheet
- Changes highlighted
- View DWG on a phone
Discovery
We built this drawing platform for a real estate developer running several construction sites. Architects and consultants upload DWG and PDF drawings, which are sorted by discipline and revision automatically. Every printed sheet carries a QR code that tells the site in seconds whether it is the current approved revision, an old one, or still under review. Changes between revisions are highlighted, site issues are pinned straight onto the drawing, and an as-built record is ready for RERA.
What was built
- Drawings sorted automatically. Sheet number, revision and discipline read from the file name and title block — no manual filing.
- QR code on every sheet. Scan with any phone camera to see whether the drawing is current, outdated or still under review.
- Changes highlighted. Compare any two revisions, with added and removed elements shown in colour, and spot clashes between disciplines.
- View DWG on a phone. Open AutoCAD drawings and large PDFs on site without AutoCAD, smoothly zoomed and panned.
- Issues pinned to the drawing. Tap the drawing to log an issue with photos or a voice note in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada or English.
- Works without signal. Active drawings are stored on the device, so basements and remote sites keep working offline.
